Alex Boesenberg is the manager for standards advocacy at the International Society of Automation (ISA). He is nearing two decades of service in the non-profit sector. Prior to ISA he served in Federal and State Regulatory Affairs related positions for the Motor and Equipment Manufacturers Association and the National Electrical Manufacturers Association. He also has extensive experience with standards and intellectual property development. Prior to NEMA, he worked for two years in Naval weapons systems development programs after serving 14 years in the U.S. Navy, first as an enlisted servicemember in the nuclear power program and, following graduation from the U.S. Naval Academy, as a commissioned surface warfare officer.
