
Andy Blackmore is an Architect and the Building Information Management Program Manager for the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO). His work in overseeing the design of U.S. Diplomatic facilities abroad draws on a decade of experience, managing projects in the federal and private sectors across a range of topics from complex technical design to master planning to climate change research and development. In addition to managing OBO’s BIM Program, Blackmore is focused on leading innovation efforts to improve the planning, design, construction, and operations process for the department and its partners. Blackmore is a lecturer in the School of Architecture and Planning at the Catholic University of America, where he teaches courses on professional practice.
