Andy Blackmore is an Architect and Design Manager working for the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO). His work in overseeing the design of U.S. Diplomatic facilities abroad draws on a decade of experience managing projects in the federal and private sectors across a range of topics, from complex technical design to master planning to climate change research and development.
In addition to his project portfolio, Blackmore is focused on innovation efforts at OBO to improve the planning, design, and construction process for the Department and our partners. Blackmore is a lecturer in the School of Architecture and Planning at the Catholic University of America, where he teaches courses on professional practice.
