Dave Bates has been with OAC Services, Inc. since 1991 and has over 30 years’ experience as an Architect. Throughout his career, he has worked on building enclosure diagnostics and repair, developing an in-depth knowledge of all types of cladding and roofing materials for new and existing structures. He served for 3 years as the president of the Seattle Building Enclosure Council (SeaBEC) and has been a member of the Building Enclosure Technology and Environment Council (BETEC) and is the past president of the Mt. Rainier Chapter of the Construction Specification Institute (CSI). As a result of Dave's technical knowledge and passion for where people live, work, learn and play, it has provided him the opportunity to present in front of local, national and international audiences and organizations such as NIST in Washington, D.C. (May 2019) and conferences such as, Advanced Building Skins in Bern, Switzerland (October 2018).
