Jason Teetaert, P.Eng, SMT - Structure Monitoring Technology - Co-founder & V.P. Business Development, has over 25 years of project management and electrical engineering construction design experience, with current experience and projects in the application of structure monitoring systems. He holds patents in the areas of moisture detection and patents pending in roof monitoring and low powered hybrid wireless/wired networks. Jason brings construction-related electrical engineering experience to the building science community. He leads the design of moisture detection systems in residential, educational, and institutional projects related to sustainable buildings and investigations. Jason graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Jason actively volunteers in the building industry as the past President of the Board of Directors on British Columbia’s Building Envelope Council and National Building Envelope Council. He has spoken at NASA, BuildEx, AIA, IIBEC (formly RCI), National Building Envelope Council, Canadian Healthcare Engineering Society (CHES), Canadian Conference on Building Science and Technology (CCBST), BCBEC (British Columbia Building Envelope Council), Investigation Engineers of America, British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT), etc.
