Judy Zakreski is the Vice President of Global Services for the International Code Council, where she engages with the U.S. government and other associations on matters of trade policy related to standards and technical barriers to trade. At ICC, Zakreski has developed a global strategy for the traditionally U.S.-focused organization and continues to globalize the approach and thinking of the association through implementation of the global strategy. Zakreski also pioneered the opening of ICC’s first global office in Dubai to increase the use of U.S. standards, conformity assessment and capacity building tools in the construction and building safety industry throughout the MENA region.
A Certified Global Business Professional, Zakreski has published and spoken on various topics related to trade policy, international building safety initiatives, market entry strategies, and (in her prior life) the Chinese healthcare market. She holds a BA in International Studies and Chinese from American University and an MA in International Commerce and Policy from George Mason University.
