Laurie is the national senior program director for resilience and disaster recovery initiatives with Enterprise Community Partners. She oversees Enterprise’s internal and external efforts to preserve and protect affordable housing across the nation from the risks and impacts of natural hazards and a changing climate. She has launched programs and initiatives to support to help reduce risk to housing and communities in the following jurisdictions: Puerto Rico, USVI, Texas, New York, California and Florida. During her tenure at Enterprise, she has developed guidance to support the resilience of affordable housing, which has leveraged over $112 million of direct investment into the resilience of housing.
She also advises agencies, including FEMA and organizations on mitigation and resilience of housing. Laurie is an active national speaker and author on the resiliency and risk mitigation of housing and communities. Laurie has a master’s in urban planning from the City University of New York and a bachelor’s from Smith College.
