Charles Thompson is a designer and preservationist who actively works on advancing the field in new and innovative ways. He has worked on integrating new and emerging technologies with historic structures, including some of the nation’s most famous landmarks, such as the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, Arlington National Cemetery, Lincoln Memorial, Arlington Memorial Bridge, Michigan State Capitol, and George Washington’s Mount Vernon.

As an associate at Quinn Evans and long-standing member of the Heritage practice area, Thompson provides valuable insight and leadership in incorporating the latest advancements in design technology in established preservation workflows. He graduated with a B.S. in Architecture from Georgia Institute of Technology and a M.S. in Historic Preservation from the University of Columbia. Thompson also is co-chair of the Heritage Committee for the U.S. Institute of Building Documentation.
