Executive Director, Ohio Facilities Construction Commission (OFCC)

Cheryl J. Lyman was named Executive Director of the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission (OFCC) in September 2019. As Executive Director, Ms. Lyman directs the daily operations of the agency, guiding capital construction projects for state agencies, state-supported universities and community colleges, as well as Ohio's comprehensive public K-12 school construction and renovation program. In addition, she also oversees OFCC’s grant program for capital improvement projects for local cultural facilities in the state.

Ms. Lyman has more than 25 years’ experience in the public sector, much of that serving in senior and executive management roles in state and local government and in higher education.

For eight of those years, she was OFCC’s Chief of Support Services before leaving state government to become Otterbein University’s Budget Director and most recently working at The Ohio State University. Other state service includes the Office of Budget and Management, Department of Commerce, Department of Administrative Services and the former Department of Development.

Ms. Lyman holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of Virginia.
