Charles Amoo

Charles Amoo is a PhD student and graduate research assistant with the Bredesen Center, under the University of Tennessee Oak Ridge Innovation Institute (UT-ORII). He specializes in the assessment of energy efficiency and renewable energy technologies through energy modeling. Amoo also is skilled in the development of tools for conducting energy audits, focusing on building energy and water consumption, as well as health and safety considerations in residential buildings, with a particular emphasis on low-income households. At Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Amoo has made substantial contributions to various research initiatives, including the development of essential resources such as "Getting Started" documents and an Engineering Reference Manual for the Weatherization Assistant suite of audit tools, designed for existing residential homes and multifamily buildings. He also has led research efforts in the evaluation of methodology for measure allowable lifetimes in the Weatherization Assistant Program (WAP).
